(59) 1874. Three Palmers marry into Wm D. Kartchner family
May 11, 1874, was a special day for Zemira’s and Sally’s family. On that day three of their children were married and sealed to three children of William D. Kartchner, their good friend and neighbor in Panguitch. These three were: their oldest son Alma Zemira married to Alzada Sophia Kartchner; and their two oldest daughters, Lydia Amelia to John Kartchner, and Phebe to Mark Elisha Kartchner. They made the long trip to Salt Lake City in order to be married for eternity and have these sacred ordinances performed in the Endowment house.
Zemira was living at Springdale at that time. His wife Sally was still living at Panguitch, so thus she was blessed to be involved in the wedding plans of her children, which was probably one reason why she hadn’t moved to Springdale when Zemira first went there.
