(6) 1832 - Tragic accident in the family
In 1832 a tragic accident brought sorrow to this little group of people when the daughter of George and Phebe, little eight-year old Eliza was burned to death. The love of their families would be a source of much comfort to this young couple at this sad time.
The Draper children had been reared in a home where Christian values were taught and practiced. And apparently they enjoyed a close family relationship, for during the following years of struggle and trials they tended to live near each other.
